What is NSR like?
NSR ended up being everything I wasn't expecting. I was able to expand my leadership coordination skills through continuous application in real time. Most of what we did was independent with our group of students that day, allowing me to feel a trusted and respected part of the team.
Andrea Martinez, 2025 Group Leader
NSR gave me the opportunity to develop my presentation and communication skills while working with a fun and lively student staff. I don't think I've ever smiled while working as much as I did with NSR!
Grace Cho, 2024 Group Leader
What is NSR like?
As an online student assistant, I was able to be at home and close to family while getting to build a community with others through the online workspace. I really enjoyed the weekly conversations through Teams and meetings to make sure everything was on track. We had tons of fun with the supervisors, on the team, and especially with the students.
Katie Fulton, 2025 Online Assistant
Working with NSR has been one of the most rewarding experiences that I have had at UIUC. I get the unique experience to communicate with incoming student and provide insight into my UIUC experience. Although I have only been a part of Online NSR, I have found that the group generates such a strong connection.
Emily Douglas, 2025 Online Assistant
