Grand Challenges
ENG 177 | Section GCH | 1 credit hour
Engineers have an instrumental role in improving life and our universe. Learn about global grand challenge categories of sustainability, health, security, and joy of living on campus and through an international context. Students will collaborate to investigate specific challenges throughout the semester.
Sustainable Goods
ENG 177 | Section SG | 1 credit hour
Learn about the role of engineering in sustainable consumption and production of consumer goods and fast fashion. Students will practice their skills in communication, teamwork, and project management by collaborating with Brazilian students to pitch a potential solution to a company's real problem.
Spatial Visualization
ENG 177 | Section SPV | 1 credit hour
Engineers are one of the most notable professions that use spatial visualization every day. Students will sharpen their skills to mentally manipulate 2D and 3D figures through creatives modules and fun games.
